After more than one hundred years of history of Mavilla photographers, the excellence of photographic engraving is no longer enough for Silvio, the third of four generations.
 
With the advent of digital techniques, with the knowledge of art history and the teaching of Photography Technique at the Academy of Fine Arts in Reggio Calabria for more than thirty years, the photographer artist transforms into a "photopictorial" artist ”, noting in the disintegration of the photographic lines into pictorial lines the revelation of the “Spirit of the image” in the work.
 
A spirit that has never made painting fade with the advent of photography.
